Introduction:

At Guaranteed Flow Systems [GFS], we believe in supporting extraordinary individuals who are willing to push the boundaries of human potential. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our support for Brendon Vercoe in his upcoming record-breaking attempt to cycle from Cape Reinga to Bluff in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Brendon’s incredible journey will not only test his physical and mental endurance but will also serve a noble cause. We are excited to share the details of this extraordinary endeavour and invite you to join us in supporting him.

The Challenge:

Brendon Vercoe is no stranger to taking on monumental challenges, and his latest feat is nothing short of breathtaking. He’s setting out to beat the existing record of 4 days, 9 hours, and 45 minutes for cycling the entire length of New Zealand, from Cape Reinga at the northern tip to Bluff in the south. This epic journey covers approximately 2,100 kilometres and is not for the faint of heart. Brendon’s determination to shatter this record is nothing short of inspiring.

GFS will support Brendon’s attempt by expediting the Cook Strait crossing with helicopter assistance.

A Worthy Cause:

While the record-breaking attempt is undoubtedly thrilling, what makes Brendon’s journey even more exceptional is his commitment to giving back. All proceeds from this endeavour will be directed towards the New Zealand Spinal Trust, a charitable organisation dedicated to providing crucial support to people with Spinal Cord Impairment and their whānau.

The New Zealand Spinal Trust is at the forefront of helping individuals with spinal cord injuries regain independence, access essential rehabilitation services, and adapt to their new way of life. Brendon has witnessed first-hand the devastating effect spinal cord injuries can have, having worked as a physiotherapist at the Burwood Spinal Unit for ten years.  By supporting this organisation, Brendon aims to raise both funds and awareness, ensuring that those affected by spinal cord impairment receive the assistance and resources they need to lead fulfilling lives.
